Of significant note is the move from Kyokushin Karate to Ashihara Karate in December 1994. In December of 1993, the dojo became the Honbu for the Ashihara Karate International Organisation.

On September 2, the Honbu celebrated its 19th Anniversary. Greetings of well wishes came from all over the world. Below is of those messages!

Within the next few months, the Honbu will be moving into slightly larger premises. We still hope to someday, have our very own Honbu dojo. Time will tell! - "Anything that you dream, by the nature that you dream, makes it possible."

I also congratulate you all for the 19th Birthday of the Honbu.  Remember: "The Journey of Miles begins with one single step"

Shihan Narker I wish to offer a Sher (Couplet) unto you:
"Mein To Akayla Hi Chala Tha,  Humsafar Milte Gaye, Karvan Banta Gaya"

Translation: I started my journey alone, Colleagues started joining and the Caravan started developing.

With the spirit of Osu, I remain in Ashihara Karate .

It has seen the worst of times in the History of S.Africa and survived all changes.  The last 19 years your dojo has been visited by many famous martial artists who are legends in their own rights. Many students have come and left, but you have still remained. The dojo is now widely known not only within SA, but outside of mainland Africa all around the globe since it has become the hombu of Ashihara Karate International.

As we enter the new millennium, may Ashihara Karate International and its Hombu in Retreat, be the interest of more and more people.

Shihan, on behalf on Ashihara Karate Sey. may I wish the dojo and yourself success in the future. We are indeed thrilled to be associated with your organization.

Happy birthday to you and your entire Dojo. I celebrated 25 years of owning and operating a Dojo this year...it's a trip :-)...but this particular Dojo here in NL is only 14.

Congratulations to you and your club.  I am sure the road to where you are has not been easy, but you have come a long way and you still have a long way to go. Stay in touch / come visit some time.

Congratulations on celebrating your dojo's 19th birthday. For sure, many lives would have been enlightened after going through the doors of your dojo. In the year 2000, your dojo will be celebrating the 20th birthday and I will be completing 15 years of loyal service to NIKO-Ashihara Kai Kan as their branch chief and 33 years of involvement with martial arts.

Let us hope that we together can make a better world for our children through the values and virtues of martial arts.

I guess Osu means hello.  Congratulation!  It must have been a very proud moment in your life having to open the 10th tournament on Saturday past.  Having been teaching for the past 19 years is also quite an achievement. Good grief - you have had quite a bit to celebrate.  It is probably going to take you another week - merely to catch up on sleep.  How was your tournament?  Tell me all about it when you have a moment.

I am glad to keep in touch. I am now in France. I immigrate here. All is ok. Happy birthday for your dojo.

Congratulation on your19th anniversary of your Dojo ! It is quite an accomplishment to provide a stable resource for people for such a length of time. I hope you wil be sending me another message 19 years from now announcing your 36th anniversary.
Do you have an article and possibly pictures that I can put up on my website on your tournement? Can never have to much martial arts news for people. Phil Porter will be at my Dojo on the 8th (Friday) of October for a seminar. You are cordially invited as my guest if you will be in the area that early. Please let me know where you wil be in Maine (Tournement) so I can come up to meet you. Will try to bring Ken Melbourne but he is like a grandmother when it comes to leaving home.

First of all let me to congratulate you for your successful Annual International ashihara championship. Secondly i'd like to congratulate you all for having your 19 years honbu dojo birthday. I know your dedication to your students and to the martial arts and your students loyalty and devotion to you and ashihara karate so I'm sure you all  will go from strength to strength.
